Change Alarm Status

Objective

Change the status of a single alarm or multiple alarms simultaneously.

How to change the status of a single alarm or multiple alarms

  1. From the main menu, select Asset and Maintenance Plan Configuration > Asset Health > Alarms. The Alarm dashboard opens.
  2. Open the alarm record for which the status needs to be changed; or select all applicable records on the alarm dashboard's grid.
  3. Click Assist in the sidebar, then click Change Status. The Change Alarm Status screen opens.
  4. Select the required status from the Status lookup.
  5. Click Accept.

Keep in mind

  • The allowed alarm status changes for manual changes are as follows:
  • From To
    Active Acknowledged, Closed, Cancelled
    Acknowledged Active, Closed, Cancelled
    Closed Active, Acknowledged
    Cancelled Active, Acknowledged
  • An alarm that was automatically generated due to a failed expression on a monitoring point trigger can be automatically cancelled by the system if a new monitoring point reading is entered that passes the linked expression (if the monitoring point trigger expression is set up in this way). The alarm status is then updated to Closed by System. This status is not available in the Status lookup list and cannot be manually changed.
