Add Meters

Objective

Add meters used to predict when tasks for a regular asset are due.

How to add a meter

  1. From the On Key main menu, click Asset and Maintenance Plan Configuration > Asset Operation > Meters > Meters. The Meter dashboard opens.
  2. Click in the toolbar. The Create Meter screen opens.
  3. Populate the required fields in the Header and Details sections.
  4. Add information in the Notes section, if applicable.
  5. Save the record.

As a result

Readings can be captured against the meter.

Keep in mind

  • If the Average Daily Rate is not automatically calculated, then set the rate using the Set ADR custom action in the Assist panel in the sidebar.
  • If the site is defined, then the meter may only be linked to regular assets of the same site.
  • A meter that is linked to a regular asset or work order cannot be deleted.
  • A meter must be attached to a physical asset (with Is Maintenance Significant Item ticked) at a non-virtual site.
