Delete Meter Readings
Objective
Delete incorrectly captured meter readings.
Before you start
Confirm whether costing is enabled in System Options and whether the meter reading is an asset consumption reading.
How to delete a meter reading
- Open the meter's edit screen.
- Click the Readings tab, select the meter reading(s) to be deleted and click
in the toolbar.
How to delete all meter readings for a meter
- Open the meter's edit screen.
- Click on Delete All Readings in the Assist side panel in the sidebar. Click Yes on the warning screen.
As a result
Unless costing is enabled in System Options and the meter reading is an asset consumption reading, it will be deleted.

Keep in mind
- Multiple meter readings can be selected and deleted at the same time.
- If costing is enabled in System Options (Enable Costing is ticked):
- Asset consumption meter readings cannot be deleted as there is cost associated and costs can never be deleted from anywhere in the system.
- The asset consumption record can be updated. If the consumption is increased, it will add more costing. If it is reduced, costing is reversed. Updating the asset consumption to zero will have the same effect as deleted it - the entire costing amount will be reversed. Costing history can be tracked against each asset consumption entry.
