Development Functionality
The development functionality in On Key involves development statuses and synchronisation. It ensures proper control of the development of asset type models and asset models, by identifying and controlling the different stages of development and acceptance of the development.
The development functionality is available for all items in the asset type tree and asset tree. It allows the user to determine whether only a specific item, or an item and its descendant and inherited items are updated when a new or modified item is saved.
Use development functionality to:
- Save development changes.
- Accept or reject development of an item.
- Change an item's development status.
- View the development status and other details for selected asset types, assets, components, tasks or linked detail records.
Where to Find It
There are several ways of accessing the development functionality in On Key. Do one of the following from the asset type tree or the asset tree:
- Right-click the item and click Development Status.
- Select the item and use the Accept Development, Reject Development and Synchronise custom actions in the Assist panel in the sidebar.
- Double-click the item to open its edit screen, then access the Change Development Status custom actions in the Assist panel in the sidebar.
Development statuses will differ depending on whether they are accessed from the asset type tree or the asset tree.
