Objective

Identify items that are linked to a particular entity.

How to perform a cross reference

1. Navigate to the entity to cross reference from, then select the record in the grid or open its edit screen.
2. Use the Assist > Cross References custom action in the sidebar.
3. To cross reference to a target screen: Select the target screen to cross reference to and click Continue.
4. To cross reference from a field to a target screen: Select the field on this record to cross reference from, then the target screen to cross reference to (if it does not autopopulate based on the field selection) and click Continue.
5. To cross reference to a field on a target screen: Select the target screen to cross reference to, followed by the field on the target screen to cross reference to, then click Continue.

As a result

The corresponding dashboard opens with the filter applied.

Keep in mind

• Cross reference functionality is available on most entities.
• Cross referencing can be done from the grid by selecting the record on the grid and using the Cross References custom action in the Assist panel in the sidebar; or from the edit screen by opening the record's edit screen and using the Cross References custom action in the Assist panel.
• If no records from the selected target screen are linked to the cross referenced item, the target screen dashboard will be empty.
• To return to the entity you cross referenced from, click the dashboard's name in the breadcrumb trail.
