Edit the Default Menu

Objective

Edit or remove the default main menu items or folders, or add a menu to a profile.

How to edit default menu items or folders

  1. From the On Key main menu, click System Management > Settings > Designer > Menu > Create New Menu. The menu designer opens.
  2. Click on the item or folder; the Menu Item Properties panel displays, and the following actions are available to edit:
    • Name: The selected menu item is displayed; click on the field to rename it.
    • Is Menu Folder: If True, the item is a Menu Folder; to change to a Menu Item, deselect the setting.
    • Item Type: This displays the selected item's type. Click Item Type to select the menu item type from the drop-down list. The following options are available:
      • Screen - This indicates that the selected item is a screen. Click the Lookup Screen button to select the screen to link the item to.
      • URL - This indicates that the selected item is a URL. Enter the URL in the URL field. This can be any URL and does not specifically need to be an On Key link.
      • Event - This indicates that the selected item is an event. Enter the event details in the fields.
  3. Click Apply to save all changes.

The menu item properties are changed.
