Link Profiles to Operational Roles via Profile Manager

Objective

Link a profile to an operational role.

Before you start

• If a custom profile is required, this needs to be configured before linking to the operational role.
• A profile can only be linked to an operational role by a user whose active operational role rule is set to Open or Limited. A user with an operational role rule set to Strict will not be able to perform this action. Ensure the user has the required permissions to manage profiles.

How to link/unlink a profile to an operational role

1. From the On Key main menu, click User Access Management > Profile Manager. The Profile Manager dashboard opens.
2. Select a profile from the Profile section.
3. Click on the Link button () and select Operational Role in the context menu.
4. Select the operational role from the lookup list.
5. Save the record.

Unlink: Select the operational role in the Operational Role section and click on the Remove button ().

As a result

• The profile is linked/unlinked to the selected operational role.
• Users (user operational roles) associated with the selected operational role are displayed on the Users panel.
