Work Order Defaults

When Work Orders are created, certain fields will be autopopulated with default values. The source of the defaults for specific fields are described below, for both manually-created and system-generated work orders and follow up work orders.

Manually Created Work Order Defaults

The defaults for manually-created work orders and follow up work orders are obtained as follows:

System Generated Work Order Defaults

The defaults for system-generated work orders and follow up work orders are obtained as follows:

Type Of Work Code	If the work order has multiple tasks, then its type of work will default from the first work order task in the sequence's Regular Asset Task > Type Of Work Code.	System Options > Work Orders > Defaults > Default Type Of Work
Section Code	If all regular asset tasks have the same Responsible Section Code, then the proposed work order inherits the Section, else this is empty.	System Options > Work Orders > Defaults > Follow Up Work Order Responsibility
Trade Code	If all regular asset tasks have the same Responsible Trade Code, the then the proposed work order inherits the Trade, else this is empty.	System Options > Work Orders > Defaults > Follow Up Work Order Responsibility
Staff Member Code	If all regular asset tasks have the same Responsible Staff Member and Resource Code, then the proposed work order inherits the Staff Member, else this is empty.	System Options > Work Orders > Defaults > Follow Up Work Order Responsibility
Work Order Classifications	Work Order Task > Task Code > Regular Asset Task Classifications	N/A
Task Classifications	If all work order tasks have the same Classifications respectively, then the proposed work order inherits the Classifications, else this is empty.	N/A
