Enable Performance Management
Objective
Enable performance management for a specific regular-, in-place- or placeholder asset (linked) in order to monitor its offline performance.
How to enable performance management
- Open the edit screen for the asset.
- On the Overview tab, navigate to the Performance Management group:
- Enable Is Performance Significant Item
- If the asset is selectable for time losses and time loss reasons should be provided, enable Is Selectable for Time Losses;
- Specify a Performance Management Calendar. This calendar defines the time dimension that is used to measure and analyse the performance of an asset.
- On the Products tab, link the products that this asset is able to produce or assemble. Refer to Products for more information.
- On the Parameter Tags tab, capture optional additional components/material items. Refer to Parameter Tags for more information.
- On the Capacity Loss Reasons tab, link the possible capacity loss reasons this asset could encounter. Refer to Capacity Loss Reasons for more information.
- On the Quality Loss Reasons tab, link the possible quality loss reasons this asset could encounter. Refer to Quality Loss Reasons for more information.
- If the linked component(s) are selectable for time loss reasons, open each asset component record:
- On the Overview tab, navigate to the Performance Management group and enable Is Selectable for Time Losses.
- On the Time Loss Reasons tab, link the possible time loss reasons this asset could encounter. Refer to Time Loss Reasons for more information.
As a result
Performance management is enabled for the specified asset.
Keep in mind
- Calendars are created to define the hours during which an asset should be producing or assembling a specific product.
- The Products, Parameter Tags, Capacity Loss Reasons and Quality Loss Reasons tabs are available on regular-, in-place- and placeholder asset records irrespective of whether Is Performance Significant Item is enabled for the asset, but log sheets can only be added to asset records if Is Performance Significant Item is enabled for the asset.
- Products, parameter tags, capacity loss reasons, quality loss reasons and time loss reasons need to be configured before these can be linked to the relevant assets and asset components.
- Products, parameter tags, capacity loss reasons and quality loss reasons can be linked to regular-, in-place- and placeholder asset (linked) records. When synced to the asset side, the performance management data is inherited.
- The Is Performance Significant Item field is not available on the asset type side.
- Time loss reasons can only be linked to regular asset- and linked placeholder asset components if Is Selectable for Time Losses is enabled for the component.
