Change Site on Regular Asset

Objective

Update the site value on a regular asset record.

How to change the site on a regular asset

  1. From the On Key home page Main Menu, click Asset and Maintenance Plan Configuration > Assets > Asset Tree. The Asset Tree dashboard opens.
  2. Open the regular asset record.
  3. Use the Change Site custom action in the Assist panel in the sidebar.
  4. Select the desired site from the Lookup Site screen.
  5. Click Accept.

As a result

The site on the regular asset is changed.

Keep in mind
  • Entities below the asset, which include other assets and components inherit the top-level asset’s site.
  • Regular asset components, placeholder assets, placeholder asset components and in-place assets inherit the regular asset site.
  • Maintainable assets must belong to a non-virtual site.
  • All historic work orders linked to the asset will retain the old site value. Only new work orders will have the new site field.
