Set Items to Active or Inactive
Objective
Activate or deactivate a record or a batch of records.
How to change the status of an item
- From the dashboard, open the relevant item's edit screen.
- To set it to active click Assist > Set Active in the sidebar; to set it to inactive click Assist > Set Inactive in the sidebar.
- If applicable:
- Set Apply To Children as true to apply the new status to all linked child items.
- Set Apply To Details as true to apply the new status to all linked details, such as spares.
How to change the status of multiple items
- From the dashboard, select multiple items in the grid.
- Click Assist in the sidebar, then click either Set Active or Set Inactive, depending on which status you want to change the batch to.
As a result
- When a record has been set to active, Is Active is updated to true.
- When a record has been set to inactive, Is Active is updated to false.
Keep in mind
- The ability to change the Is Active status for a batch of items is not available on the following entities:
- asset tree and asset type tree entities
- site tree
- permission tree
- any entity that is part of a tree structure with more than one level.
