Apply Template SLA Changes to Non-Template SLAs

Objective

Align non-template SLAs with the template SLA it originated from.

Apply updates made to the template SLA to all its non-template SLAs

  1. From the Service Level Agreements dashboard, select the relevant template SLA in the grid or open its edit screen.
  2. Click Assist > Apply Updates to Non-Template SLAs in the sidebar.
  3. As a result, the Code, Description, Permission Tree and Sequence Number values on all non-template SLAs that originated from this template SLA are updated with the latest values from the template SLA.

OR

  1. From the Service Level Agreement Measures dashboard, select the relevant template SLA measure in the grid or open its edit screen.
  2. Click Assist > Apply Updates to Non-Template SLA Measures in the sidebar.
  3. As a result, the Code, Description, Permission Tree and Sequence Number values on all non-template SLA measures that originated from this template SLA measure are updated with the latest values from the template SLA measure.

Apply updates made to the template SLA to a single non-template SLA

  1. From the Service Level Agreements dashboard, select the relevant non-template SLA in the grid or open its edit screen.
  2. Click Assist > Apply Template SLA Updates in the sidebar.
  3. As a result, the Code, Description, Permission Tree and Sequence Number values on this non-template SLA are updated with the latest values from the template SLA measure.

OR

  1. From the Service Level Agreement Measures dashboard, select the relevant non-template SLA measure in the grid or open its edit screen.
  2. Click Assist > Apply SLA Template Measure Updates in the sidebar.
  3. As a result, the Code, Description, Permission Tree and Sequence Number values on this non-template SLA measure are updated with the latest values from the template SLA measure.
Keep in mind
  • The non-template SLA is a snapshot of the template SLA at a point in time. If the template SLA is updated, the non-template SLA is not kept in alignment.
  • Only the Code, Description, Permission Tree and Sequence Number fields can be aligned using the custom actions as described above. No other changes made to the template SLA will be applied to non-template SLAs.
